    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class was a night class. The instructor didn't interact with the class much and just lectured on a white board. Unfortunately it was pretty boring. The Instructor didn't try to make the topic interesting.

    Course highlights:

I took PS 1 during the presidential election. The timing was great because we had current events to discuss and reflect on. In middle school we touch on the division of power in our government but it wasn't very clear back then. Taking this class definitely clarified the process of our government. I do find it interesting and am still considering studying law in college.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to ask other students which teachers they liked taking the class from and try to get into that course. My middle school teacher was so enthusiastic and love the subject so it made me excited to learn about it. That what good teachers do. I would also take it during the day if possible and not a night class!

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course. It was very well structured with the readings. I took the online class so every week we had to read a chapter in the book about 25 pages. Also every 3 to 4 weeks we had a quiz that follows the book. Also throughout the semester there was 4 essays to write connecting recent events and what you learn in the book.

    Course highlights:

Started with the Founding Fathers and Constitution. It next went to government and knowing the separation of powers and what each branch does. There was also a section on the election process and the powers of the media.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the reading as it will help with tests and the essay assignments. It is online so don't fall behind on the reading.
