Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Aside from being a required course, this class gives undergraduate civil engineers a glimpse of what sort of programs they will be using in their career. In this class we used Microstation and there are different programs similar to Microstation that civil engineers will use.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was seeing the progression in each drawing we made in class. You could really see the difference from when the students first started to the point where they are much more proficient in using Microstation; drawings went from simple boxes to floor plans along with dimensions and notes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking this class, it's important to practice using the program often because since this is a lab course you only meet once a week so you don't get much class time. And since it's only once a week class, you could forget some tools and what to click so it's a good idea to practice the program outside of class time.
