    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This is great course that all students should take in their first year. It establishes familiarity with the department, engineering, the industry, and basic projects.

    Course highlights:

I built a device for measuring displacement to analyze and make suggestions on a shock absorbing trailer hitch. We also got to tour mechanical equipment and water facilities around Salinas.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the assigned work on time.
