    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course for other students. From my personal experience I found Professor Keyes to be a great teacher. Although the course was intense and the work load was somewhat heavy I learned a lot. Throughout this course, students learn many important facts and techniques that they can utilize in everyday life, and future writing experiences. We practiced things such as grammar, reading comprehension, and writing essays. Overall, I felt this was a great and very informative course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were definitely the essay writing portions and learning about one's career goals. I have always enjoyed writing, so when it came time for me to do so, I found the experience enjoyable. The main focus of this course was learning to write various kinds of essays from creative, to persuasive. In addition to learning how to successfully write a convincing essay we learned more about our career goals. As I stated earlier, this course was also heavily rooted around learning more about our future career goals as this was the focus if each essay. Thus, students experienced very helpful and informative lessons throughout the course of the class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To students considering this course you must first evaluate your goals and your intent in this class .In order to be successful one must be driven, responsible and proactive. As you take this course it is important to stay on top of your work and read all the assigned works. In this course you are assigned many small reading assignments and then take quizzes the next class on the reading. This small grades start to add up and can either make or break your grade, so stay on top of your work. In addition, take lots of notes and ask questions when you're confused. It's really important to be actively engaged in class in order to earn both participation points as well as learn from the class. If you follow these few tips you will be very successful in this class,

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I do recommend this course to anyone who is in college now. This course helped me learn how to write well written essays.

    Course highlights:

My highlights of this course was honestly just being there. I learned so much in the time that I was in the class. For example, I learned when it is appropriate to use a comma or the word "and". I also learned how to write well written essays and how not to procrastinate.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to anyone who is taking this class is to not procrastinate and when one is handed an essay to get it done and over with. One finds that it is easier to do that than to wait last minute to write a paper. Some papers are even impossible to do the night before in order to get a good grade.
