Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It teaches me a lot and it is very helpful for my future in the medical field. It is very interesting and I love how part of it is online!

    Course highlights:

The highlight for me was learning about word roots and the Latin language to be able to develop my language skills. I learned so many medical terms that I feel really prepared for my next few years at college.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the flashcards and do all of the homework. It is not always graded but it will really help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course taught the essential vocabulary that is needed when studying in the medical field. Not only does it make you feel smart when you use your newly learned words, but it also helps you in your future classes. I took this course while taking a general anatomy course and the material lined up with that class and ended up being like an extra study session.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was being able to go to different classes and knowing some vocabulary that other students didnt know who hadnt taken this course yet. Also speaking in medical terminology at home makes you feel superior to your mom. Instead of saying your belly hurts you can say my epigastric region of my abdomen is in pain and watch her stare at you in confusion..

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the vocabulary, make flash cards, and use the new vocabulary as much as possible outside of class as well. The more you practice, the easier you will remember the vocab.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a wonderful and challenging course.

    Course highlights:

I now understand the basics in roots for medical terminology, this in turn has helped me become more thorough in understanding anatomy and physiology of the human body.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Flash cards work wonders for memorizing the terminology, and the professor has Powerpoints you can study off of as well. Within those slide shows she highlighted terms and other important information that were essential for homework, quizzes, and tests.
