Course Overview:
Before taking this class, I've heard strong positive feedback for this teacher but my personal experiences tell me that it was ehh. The good: notes did help homework assigned, teacher is helpful when asked. The bad: tests were generally hard imo, mostly a self-taught course, teacher doesn't grade anything (you do everything yourself), grading system (70% test, 30% homework) makes it hard to get and maintain an A
Course highlights:
The teacher's clarity, funny teacher, have to be self-driven to get decent grade Since the teacher only gives you a limited amount of help in class, you have to be self-driven. Only YOU are responsible for YOUR grades.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Since the teacher only gives you a limited amount of help in class, you have to be self-driven. Only YOU are responsible for YOUR grades.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I would recommend it because the course itself is relatively easy, and prepares the students extremely well for the A.P. exam.
Course highlights:
I re-learned the basics of calculus AB that I needed to understand the new concepts of calculus BC, which, when taught, were relatively easy to understand. However, as a person who generally has a hard time understanding math, I personally had a harder time than others understanding all aspects of the material, but most of the time, it was easy for me to grasp and apply the basic concepts. I learned about integration, derivatives, variable separable, taylor and maclaurin series, triginometric substitution, and convergence.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
You should always do the homework because all the test preparation is in the homework. Also if you are like me and generally have a hard time with math, you should get a tutor to help you understand the harder problems.

Course Overview:
There is a lot of difficult and interesting concepts to learn in calculus.
Course highlights:
The highlights come from my teacher, Michelle Hansen. She gives very thorough lectures and notes and is available to help out students in need. She has many great stories to tell the class each day.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Push through this class because this class has many important concepts for you to use after high school despite its many difficulties.
