Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Yearbook was a way for me to connect with students of all ages and helped me to get more involved in school. It opened doors for my future and allowed me to take on responsibilities that pushed me to become independent and responsible for my own duties and others.

    Course highlights:

I learned to become a leader, team player, and friend to the people around me. I was able to work closely with students in order to create the yearbook and highlight a year filled with memories and happiness. The highlights were going to the different school events and taking photographs, as well as telling stories of the kids all throughout the school.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You definitely have to be a team player and learn to respect the views and work ethics of others in order to succeed in creating the yearbook.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class engages juniors to really express their ability to write, annotate, debate, and collect their thoughts in a presentable way that will be very useful in college and in the real world.

    Course highlights:

This course allowed me to expand my way of thinking of literature, debates, and the people that wrote those pieces in order to get a better understanding of the ideas, themes, rhetorical strategies etc. that those writers used in their arguments. This allowed me to appreciate the works on another level besides the comical or other emotional effect given off at first glance.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate on the work, because not only will you fall behind in your work but you will also lose all that material you could have learned.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class taught me so many different techniques and skills for English. The teacher I had was also really friendly which made it easy to communicate with her. I also enjoyed the material we read throughout the year.

    Course highlights:

We learned about Rhetoric and how it is used as a literary device. We learned how an author is able to manipulate many readers into believing a certain point of view for a specific reason.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make sure you read all of the material given to you and understand what you are reading as well. Also if you have questions make sure you ask them.
