    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Biology 160 is required for nursing students to move onto the next biology sequence. The professor had her power points and also recorded her lectures to put up on canvas for the class to access. The class is very difficult and the teacher will not go easy on anyone. What made the course so hard was that chapters were jumbled up into one exam so I had to go over so much information with little time to remember and learn it. Attendance matters because the professor would have pop quizzes. I would recommend the class because it was really nice of her to have her lectures recorded along with all her power points the downside was not having a study guide.

    Course highlights:

I am not sure if this class will ever be put to use in nursing but I did learn a a lot about the fundamentals of life. One important thing I learned is that working in groups is very beneficial to you and to others.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be prepared to make time for this course and DO NOT take this course with another science class. I would recommend making a study group in the very beginning of this course. Study outside of class as much as can and study along with your group.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a great class especial if you are interested in the medical programs and careers. It is class every day Monday-Thursday and one of those days comes with a lab.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about how our cells have many functions inside and how there are many things happening at once. You also learn about genetics.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This class might need a lot of attention because you need to study and review the material. It cannot just be done by memorization because there a too many details but it is fun and interesting so you might not feel like you are studying.
