    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The information was a little boring, however the way Professor Walker presented it made it fun. Every day in class he would make jokes. He is so passionate about the subject as well. He adds his own opinions, he makes connections to modern music, and he sings.

    Course highlights:

I would consider the highlight of this course to be the professor himself. While the information is fun to know, the presentation of it was incredible. Professor Walker showed videos and played music. He made the class very interactive and fun. As an example, when learning about the Middle Ages, he actually made us get up and dance. We learned mostly the differences between different eras' music.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to get the textbook and take thorough notes. Everything that he puts on the quizzes is either mentioned in class or is in the chapter. You will be assigned two concert reviews. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST TWO WEEKS DO TO THESE. It adds so much stress if you put it off; at least do one earlier in the quarter. It is an easy class overall though, and he's an easy grader. I would definitely recommend it for an elective or fine arts credit.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Walker is an amazing educator. He knows his stuff, and does his best to make it entertaining and engaging for the students. Geared more towards making you enjoy it rather than testing you to death, his class is going to work out for even the most tone-deaf people in the world.

    Course highlights:

The course brings you to experience numerous styles of music, from ancient to current, and I've found myself listening to Gregorian Chant, then a Vivaldi Aria, followed by Indian music. It's going to bring you to experience music from all locks of life, as well as from all around the globe.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Listening to the music assigned for the music quizzes will save you a lot of trouble; It's also important to keep up on the discussions as they are likely to sneak up on you!
