    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Eastin is an excellent teacher who is well versed in the subject of English, SAT and ACT, and also wonderfully socially aware of the changing world and how students must adapt to find careers and education.

    Course highlights:

We spent a lot of time reading about the Civil Rights Movement. Touching upon Malcom X, Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks and more. We also learned about the Christopher Columbus controversy and how he contributed to the genocide of Native Americans in America.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

She gives very difficult coursework but you will leave this class with such an excellent understanding of English. You will learn how to properly write an essay, and if you pay attention you can very easily raise your ACT score. She is very diligent and will help you succeed and become ready for college English. Do every assignment and don't be afraid to ask for help. She will make appointments but you have to commit.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because of the effort that this teacher puts into her work. She is very vigilant with all of the work. She makes everything that we read understandable and relatable. Also she allows for "breathing room" in our analysis, allowing for better understanding and overall comparison.

    Course highlights:

I have learned to deeper analyze the literature that we have read. I have grown as a reader and i am more able to understand complex text.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you arrive ready to work hard. She will push for you to work hard and you will grow from it. Overall as a reader I have grown so much over this year and the course inst even completed. I'm excited to see how I will further grow.
