Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although English-24 is a MANDATORY course , this particular class focused on women and gender studies. This class is highly recommended for feminists who are interested in gaining knowledge of prominent or overlooked female figures in history and society and the LGBT community.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course were the videos that we watched in class. They were usually everyday videos that most people in the class watched , but the professor pointed out many undertones that we didn’t realize growing up watching these videos. What was learned from this course is that sexism and racism are closely aligned.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Future students are advised to not undermine this class because it is English. This class was not easy, especially if you are behind. DO NOT wait until last minute to do your drafts, do not do less drafts than the teacher recommends and thoroughly review and cite your notes that will be used in your essays.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor works with you incredibly close when you need it. Very laid-back but no nonsense man who just wants to see his students explore their creativity. If you're into social issues then this class is for you, he focuses on topics that still hold relevance today. Debates are every other class, if not every class. A supportive, open man who acts as a mentor for those who are deeply invested in their writing.

    Course highlights:

Having a class centered on racial and sexual divisions; sparked much debate and started conversations that need to be had in a setting like this. I learned that while I may not agree with what everyone has to say during debates or writing, it's important to make sure you fully comprehend the point they're trying to make before arguing back. I've learned to better detail my writing without turning it into rambling and make it more visual compared to before. It was beautiful to be so immersed in each essay topic.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want to succeed- do your research. Don't slack, don't think that it'll all come easy. You need to put time and love into the readings and into your writing and it never hurts to do your own research outside of the articles in order to have a better understanding of what you're about to speak about. The professor believes in working alongside his students so most important than anything- if you need help, ask!
