    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I'd recomend this class because it was very helpful, and the professor was always there when you needed her. This class is helpful because it's the foundation of all literature/writing, and without this class you would be lost in any class that would come after it.

    Course highlights:

Personally, I think having an understanding professor is really important, so I was really happy to have found that at Allen. I liked that you had plenty of time to work on an assignment before the deadline and were able to get help from the other people taking the course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make sure that you put effort into your writing, in the end it will be worth it and you'll really improve. Stay up-to-date on assignments and be sure to talk to the professor if you need help or have any questions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to sharpen your writing skills, challenge your writing abilities, and to complete some college hours at the same time with dual credit.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course is learning correct citations, seeking new resources, and meeting what each specific type of paper requires.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be scared because the class revolves around writing essays. I am not the best essay writer, but with the resources provided you can and will get better.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class to absolutely any student planning to attend a university after high school. The class is required at nearly every university, so why not get it out of the way for a cheaper price in high school?

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of the class was reading essays published in our textbook and reflecting on them. The essays were more often than not about social issues that matter. My favorite writing assignments were responses to these essays.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate. It is so tempting to sit on social media for hours with your blank essay open, but don't do it. You have to intentionally turn your phone off or keep it in another room to get work done. I ended up writing almost every essay the night before it was due.
