Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was great for introducing the education world to future teachers. This was an exciting course that covers the basics of becoming a teacher, and all the different obstacles that will be dealt with.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights of this course were the field experience, and also the professor was awesome. She is a principal at a private school and provides helpful advice based on her experience. This was highly engaging during each lecture because the information tends to make more sense once it is applied to a real life situation.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend all of the lectures if possible, take the professors advice, study for the midterm and final, and most important of all, complete your assignments!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend intro to education with Mr. Welker to anyone who believes they want to become a teacher. Mr. Welker is a fair teacher, but does assign many writing assignments. This course will help you decide if you would like to become a teacher, because it gives you an overview of what the education field is and what is required to become an effective teacher.

    Course highlights:

You learn many things in this course such as: the intrinsic and extrinsic rewards of teaching, what an effective teacher looks like, how schools accommodate children with special needs, how to reduce violence in schools, what a curriculum is, what the difference between schooling and education is, what cooperative learning is, how to have good classroom management, and much more.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is a great course to take if you are thinking about going into the education field. Just know that this course requires a good amount of reading and writing essays, but it is a manageable amount of work.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

He is unorganized and really does not teach very well. Goes over the same assignment for weeks at a time (even after it is due)

    Course highlights:

You have to do 18 hours in classroom experience. For me it was by far the best.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Never email this professor. Always just see him in person.
