    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is terrible. The professor is incapable of teaching and is combative towards students.

    Course highlights:

There were absolutely no highlights. Everything I learned, I learned with the help of friends and classmates.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Avoid this course like the plague until they can secure a new professor.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

CHEM 1010 is a prerequisite for higher level chemistry and for different programs and degrees. The professor gave a ton of extra credit on tests, in quizzes, and even on the final!

    Course highlights:

This course definitely gave me a firm foundation for Organic Chemistry (CHEM 1020). The professor taught in a way where I could grasp the information. Some topics took some elbow grease, but after studying, it always "clicked". As long as you put in the work, you will be fine. This course is very similar to high school level chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I highly recommend finding a peer that you can study with and ask questions. Chances are good that if you don't understand a concept, they will and vice versa. (PLUS! A little healthy competition never hurt anybody!)
