Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Morris is an amazing teacher! She takes time to make sure everyone is understanding the material and can answer questions she asks. I swear I learned more Spanish in this semester long class than I ever learned throughout all four years of high school. You won't regret taking this class.

    Course highlights:

I felt like I learned valuable phrases and words that I would actually use in real life situations. The course is divided into sections such as "family", "travel", "chores", and "food". The travel section especially would help a student who plans to study abroad and would want to know phrases that may help them find their hotel, the bathroom, or even a good place to eat.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take this class with Carrie, make sure you do the online portion of the homework! It's easy to forget or overlook but it WILL come back to bite you if you don't do it! Make sure you also go to her office hours if you're having trouble, she's very patient and will help you until you understand it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for students who are looking into majoring or minoring in a foreign language.

    Course highlights:

The instructor was very helpful. I learned a lot in a variety of ways from doing projects, homework, and watching videos.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I suggest putting more time in this course if you really want to major or minor in a foreign language.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This Spanish class does not only teach you the basics of the Spanish language, it also helps you to learn all the different cultural backgrounds of those who speak this language.

    Course highlights:

In this course, the most helpful and interesting thing we did was read a novel completely in Spanish. This activity not only help our reading ability, but it also increased out speaking, from reading aloud in class, and writing, from reflecting on themes from the book. Another really cool aspect from this course was that it was the first Spanish course I took that was completely (or for the most part) taught in Spanish. It really helped me work on speaking Spanish correctly because I would hear it everyday.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Have fun and immerse yourself completely in the language and culture when you walk into the classroom.
