    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The only reason I would recommend taking philosophy at a community college is because it usually can be transferred to a 4-year university and it is easier and cheaper at a community college.

    Course highlights:

A lot of a philosophy course is personal opinion, but you learn about the opinions of many famous people such as Plato. It teaches you to ask hard questions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you read what is assigned!

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend taking this class, it’s a great way to start working your mind. Taking this course has greatly expanded my ability to gather information and really pay attention to the world around. I have begun to appreciate the little things from day to day and its has had a positive effect on my life.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course in my opinion were the chapters on the existence of god, and whether or not there is an omnipotent being that created the universe. I thought it was really interesting how the entire class came together and had an orderly civil discussion, even though most of our view points differed. It was a really nice experience, and I learned how to work with others in a larger group, that consisted of kids were weren’t exactly personal friends of mine.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Some advice that I would give is, be social. Talk to your professor if you’re struggling with the content. It makes things way simpler if you just talk with your peers and make sure that everybody understands the material before going into a discussion.
