Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's fast paced, and forces the students to quickly adapt into a college paced curriculum (which I find helpful) and it has plenty of opportunities to focus on your writings skills and improve them. Plus, who doesn't love getting college credits early on and saving some money? What this class mostly did for myself was improve the genres and focus of audience I use for writings. Going into this class, I wish I would have had a warning about how much writing there is to be done. Not that the amount of writing was a problem, I saw it as an opportunity to improve my writing as best as I could. The course focuses less on nit-picky things in writing such as grades based off of minor grammatical errors, but is more focused on the how and why you wrote what you did. Overall, I find my writings have made such great improvements through this class.

    Course highlights:

Most of what I learned that improved my writing were more in-depth concepts of the rhetorical devices used in writing, such as genre, the focused audience, and the purpose of paper. We delved into the concepts of this topics when writings papers, and then also focused on our personal literacy careers and what kind of writers we are. We did this by looking into our writing past and also learning and engaging with the concept of Literacy Sponsors.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is going to be a lot of work. Be prepared for that. It's not particularly difficult, but there is a lot, and it moves fast so it's easy to get left behind and have a lot of catching-up to do.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class even though it's not required to take. Mostly because it was a advanced skill level that was fairly easy to keep up with! You can transfer it as a college credit through certain universities and you learn more than you think.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights of this course was our group discussions. We got to discuss all the upcoming assignments and how we were going to handle them ourselves. Which made feel like I wasn't in it by myself. I learned how to do many things such as write papers with the correct format, learn new words, and several other things all with my classmates by my side.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Just because the class sounds very difficult and it's an advanced skill level class don't be intimidated. It is a great class to meet new people and to improve in English. It is a class that has many group dicussions and small assignments online. It's not as hard as you think, so don't be afraid!
