    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Coach Listort is a great teacher, and really helps you to understand the material by relating complicated concepts to everyday things.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about elements and chemicals and how they react with one another/what they make up.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the worksheets, and go in at lunch if you are confused. Listort would be happy to help you.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a great class if you plan on going to the medical field. You also learn a lot about other subject, a lot of things require chemistry and it is very helpful.

    Course highlights:

The discussions are very interesting, the teacher not only talks about the subject but he also refers it to other subjects and situations in real life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you are interested on it, because there is nothing more harmful for you that taking a class that you hate and don't understand.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you love chemistry and plan on pursuing it in college, or other fields that need a chemistry class, this course will give you a head start. However! I do not recommend this course if you have never taken chemistry or chemistry honors. This course is meant as an expansion on what you've learned previously, not a substitution.

    Course highlights:

It's so rewarding seeing and hearing those obscure chemical formula names and being able to determine, or already know, what they're made of. I learned how to build chemical structures, and the various theories behind the atom, vapor pressure, equilibrium, change in enthalpy and all other factors that influence and shape the world around us. The equations are easy to understand, use, and memorize once you've gotten enough practice.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to take a lot of notes. I'm almost never use pen, but for tests and equations that you may need to revise, I recommend getting pencil or two. Don't slack in class, because this course is college-level and while not impossible, the concepts are already tough enough without snoozing in class. Be sure to pick up the library textbook and an AP review book, there's more expansion behind the theories and practice problems to strengthen your memory.
