    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

So you're an accounting major? Accounting 101 is the way to go! This course teachers you all the fundamentals you will need to know for an accounting major. You will begin learning main terms and of course the accounting equation. Next, your professor walks you step by step through equations, basic math, and onto financial statements. At the end of the semester, hopefully what you've learned will prepare you for the next accounting class.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me so much and more. After this course ended I have realized that the information I retained has also helped me with finances, budgeting, and so on. In this course you learn all about bank statements, which now allows myself to balance my check book and keep better track of my income and expense. As well, it is now much easier to find and solve mistakes that are often made when balancing a check book. This course is most certainly not just for accounting majors, it provides tons of information to students who need better understanding on how to budget, and how to keep up with their finances. Now that college students are adults and mostly have to pay their own bills and have tons of responsibility; this class would be very helpful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Students whom are considering this course need to be prepared to know multiple terms off the back of their mind. It is very important that you fully understand definitions, which will make this class so much easier to finish with an A. You will have time to study and learn these terms but that is a big part of the class. Also, any students who enjoy more structured settings, this is the course for you. In accounting, normally something always has to balance and if doesn't at least you know you are wrong and their are tips and tricks on how to locate your mistakes and easily solve them.
