    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

US History lets you develop an understanding of your past and present country. Understanding what paths led us to where we are paints a vivid picture of what paths can lead us to an even better future.

    Course highlights:

I must admit that even though I learned more names and dates to get every US History question on Jeopardy right for years to come, these little facts revealed even more about the world around me. Every building and every person has their own rich history, they have made contributions that have changed our country in more ways than we can imagine. Through the wave of Industrialization I learned the impact technology has on every facet of our lives and in President Lyndon B Johnson I realized the strain of bringing a nation through a time of grief. During this course I not only learned a detailed account of what has shaped our country up to this point, but also an inkling as to what may mold it in the future.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you take this course you will have to do more reading than any English class combined. With the difficult tests and frightening pop quizzes, constant studying and retention are key. However, please do not shy away, as long as you diligently do the assigned readings and take detailed notes, you will find that your developing love for history will make all the long nights worth it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend AP US History to anyone who loves the name of the course! US History is a high school requirement but the AP level should only be for those who enjoy learning history.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was learning the history about my homeland! It was very interesting to learn how the US became an independent nation and what the government was founded on.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Students should only take AP US History if they want to truly learn and put effort in to the course. It requires a lot of studying and practice for the AP exam.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend to people who do not excel with history in the past because it is a lot of information to take in.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was probably getting A's on surprised pop quiz from last nigh readings. I learned that you can't just a read text only one, you have to read it multiple times.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to read the text at least three times and then go to someone and explain what you just have read because if you can explain it than you will remember it.
