    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is very intellectually stimulating and whilst difficult, is very fun to take. Ms. Hambright is a fun teacher who will make sure to connect to you and teach you in a way that helps you specifically learn.

    Course highlights:

The main thing I learned from this class was how to read deeply and understand the hidden intentions behind an authors words. An author never says anything without a purpose. Finding that purpose is key.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

PAY ATTENTION! No matter how good you think you are, there is no substitute for practicing while you're with a teacher. Ms. Hambright will do nothing but attempt to increase your skills as a reader

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The knowledge conceived in the course cannot be measured or rationalize. From Ethan Frome to Hamlet, the course will introduce students to different writing styles to literary techniques being employed.

    Course highlights:

The course gave me the key to the world. The complex thinking-process, the analytical commentary and even the drawing of conclusions of complex text really helps in deciphering the text.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in the course, be attentive and prepared. Being a couple of days ahead of the work and reading the novels will save you from failure.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ap literature is truly a beautiful course and teaches you many things like how to interpret poems and find the underlying meaning of them.

    Course highlights:

I'm still taking the course and overall in love with the content of the course. I love learning how to analyze 16th century poetry and see how the speakers felt during that time. How love and lust is almost mimicked through many poems.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You just need to have an open mind and analyzing skills. Also you need to have a high vocabulary and know how to interpret 16th century vocabulary.
