Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

During discussion boards, we talked about historical financial crises and cases that applied to the lessons as we progressed through class.

    Course highlights:

I learned about Barclay's and the LIBOR Scandal and the Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC).

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you participate in the discussion boards and read the chapters to be able to understand the material. Additionally, start the WACC project as early as possible and progress over time rather than waiting til the last weekend. This helped immensely, as it requires extensive research.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Financial management course is one of the prerequisites for the award of MS degree in Supply Chain Management. It entails Stock market activities, Bond valuation etc. it opens my mind to the event that led to global economic meltdown in 2008. The knowledge I have gained would go a long way in helping me invest in stock market. Dr. Craig is a phenomenon. He knows his work very well and knows how to pass it on.

    Course highlights:

I learned interest rate as it affects stock valuation, bond valuation, capital budgeting, cash flow estimation and risk analysis et al. I learnt how manipulation of interest rate led to global economic meltdown.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

There's no alternative to hard work. Knowledge comes by learning and paying attention to detail. I will advice the prospective students to read and ask questions. Financial management is an eye opener for those that want to invest in stock market.
