    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course would be the notes taken in class and applying them to the programs assigned to us. I learned a multitude of commands and formats to help me write programs in C++. On top of that, the general feeling of accomplishing a program with no errors is indescribable.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Go to the office hours your teacher has posted. Seek the help of others if they are familiar with C++ already. This class will take a lot of time out of your schedule to try to work around it and keep a calm mind.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course as it offers a great intro to a specific type of coding that is commonly used across the world. Additionally, the class does not require you to have any background knowledge and teaches you everything, starting with the general basics. This type of class is much more hands-on as it physically/mentally engages you to write a multitude C++ files. Depending on whether your code runs or not, gives a direct correlation to how well you understand the material. The class overall develops bits of progress in students as they write a new type of code each day.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course would be the code you write every day. It stimulates you by testing your memory of what goes where and how one thing affects another. Additionally, the resources that come with this class help make the overall process of learning C++ much smoother. On top of having a teacher, they're multiple GSA awaiting to help you if you need it and the notes you learn in class, can all be found in your textbook. I personally learned the basic of C++ so far and I am continuously honing my skills as the semester progresses.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to have a lot of patience when it comes to this class, as the process of learning C++ takes some time to get used to. Additionally, keep your composure when trying to compile your codes as the process of getting it to run without any errors can take up some time. If you are honestly struggling, seek out the GSA's or revise your textbook. This is one of those classes, where having the textbook can actually benefit you in the long run.
