    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are planning to enroll in this class be willing to take history by the reigns. This course offers many details into American history, which can be overwhelming at times. Be prepared to analyze almost every document known to American history! Even though I may be over exaggerating a little, this class does broaden your knowledge on America, but it does comes with hard work.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course are the many different truths you find out about America. It was enjoyable to participate in debates and group discussions. I learned interesting facts about American companies such as Dole and the Rockafellers.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are planning on taking this course I suggest you do not procrastinate if you want on getting the proper amount of sleep the night before a big test. The information that goes along with this class can become brutal at times. It is even worse when you have to annotate the old english of American documents. Always ask questions and study your notes for this class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

study! you make think history is easy but when you see the different political cartoons and trying to learn how to understand them. Also its hard to understand the quotes sometimes.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It is a history class so it's not very interesting. However I did have a teacher who had a real interest In what he taught he was excited to teach and therefore made the students hang on his words. We became eager to learn simply by paying attention. He was eager to help and was therefore very approachable and encouraged questions. The advice I have is to pay attention in class take in everything the teacher says like a sponge but you have to study in order to retain and remember all the points taken in class however you can't study as a replacement for paying attention in class. Paying attention in class allows you to understand what you study. Lastly ask questions if you don't understand what's going on ask questions your teachers there to help.

    Course highlights:

I did take this course a few years ago this just generally what i remember. Discovery of America and the desecration of an entire culture the natives. Indentured servants vs. slavery in America. America being a colony and having taxes to be owed to the British. Boston tea party. American rebellion militia and the use of guerrilla warfare. America and France vs. Britain war of independence. Declaration of Independence. America winning the war and drafting the bill of rights and who signed the bill and constitution. Free land in the west. America taking Texas and the west from Mexico.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:
