Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course to anyone who enjoys writing and likes to read old English stories and novels such as The Scarlet Letter and The Crucible. If you like to explore the English language and how great writers interpret their thoughts, then this is the course for you.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed a lot of aspects from this course. I really liked reading The Great Gatsby because it was a different type of literature that I haven't explored before and it opened my eyes to how writers can share their thoughts in their own distinctive way. Also, I took in pleasure in the writing prompts we had where we had to share our opinion on a certain theme like loyalty or love.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I highly encourage the students to seek the meaning in the literature they are reading because there is more significance that the author is trying to perceive than just within the words. By the end of this course, students will have a better understanding of the stories they will read in the future.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course massively improved my abilities to write strong and effective essays. I now have a framework for writing essays that communicate my thoughts efficiently and smoothly. This course helped prepare me for writing college essays over the summer.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write essays analyzing the use of rhetorical strategies, how to use rhetorical devices, and studied various works such as "The Scarlett Letter" and "The Great Gatsby".

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Always have your work done on time and remember to do the required reading before class. Avoid paraphrasing within your essays and do not stray from the topic. Be open to unfamiliarity and you will be successful in this class.
