Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was a great introduction into the world of accounting, with just the right amount of work to get you started and the book provided great study and practice material.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is that you learn the basics of accounting: how to reconcile, close out accounts. The major information I learned was about accounts receivable and accounts payable which is a one thing I see a lot of employers looking for. At times the subject matter became a little confusing but following along in the book and with the help of my Professor I was able to pass the course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read your book, take good notes and try your best to memorize which chart or method is to be used, they are needed for this course.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Ms. Coram always responds to my emails in a timely manner. The class itself is formatted great; everything is laid out for you from the start. We do coursework through MyAccountingLab.com and you are allowed to get ahead in the course if you prefer, which I always do. I would definitely recommend this course and this professor.

    Course highlights:

I have learned a lot about financial accounting in general. I have learned how to work numbers and how to calculate numerous things. I have learned the difference between an asset and a liability and how to create a balance sheet for the end of the month. This course has taught me a lot which I'm sure I will use in my career in Business Administration/Finance.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The way this course is set up is that you have a homework assignment due every week. The quiz for that chapter and exam are all due at the same time but I would definitely recommend taking the quiz immediately after finishing the homework while everything is still fresh on your mind.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course to anyone pursing a degree in business. Professor Coram does a great job explaining material, and describing practical uses for the material in the real world.

    Course highlights:

I have learned the basics of preparation of financial statements, and the major role of accountants in the world of business. Her prior experience gives students a reliable source of information, on how it is to work in the world of business.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure material has been read prior to attending class, and show up every day. Between her lecture, and the basic understanding of the chapter, the quizzes and test are not too difficult. As long as you take the time to do the work, the class is passable, and not at all as scary as one would thinking taking their first accounting class.
