    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course does teach you 3000 years of history in 180 days, which is quite an astonishing feat. It also may open naive students' eyes to the inadequacy of their current study methods, and will be a force for positive change.

    Course highlights:

This course really teaches to take a critical look at history, which must be learnt from to prevent repeating it. It also explores cause-effect and comparative relationships between large scale events, which really is intriguing. You also inevitably will cover the founding of ancient religions, which is key in understanding the multicultural world of today.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The assigned readings are essential to understanding the course concepts. From experience, if you do not do the readings, but can adequately pretend that you know the information, you could sneak by with a C.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it prepares you for the future with other AP level courses. The information is interesting and the only problem with the class is the workload. If you can keep up with doing about an hour of homework every night and not getting behind, the class is not hard. But for people who procrastinate, the class is more stressful. However, if people can handle the workload, the class is interesting and informative.

    Course highlights:

I learned all about the history of the world, which helps me understand how the world has turned out the way it is and all of the ancient cultures that have been here. I also learned about cultures that are very important, yet usually erased from history, which was very exciting for me. I also learned how to use time management and critical thinking skills in this class, which helped me in many of my following AP courses.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do the homework when it is assigned, no matter how busy you might be. It helps you understand what is happening in class the next day, and it prevents you from being stressed out when the notes are due.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a phenomenal course that requires people to burst the "American bubble" to experience and learn more about the people and events who came before us. It helped me learn how to use my time wisely and to work with a strong work ethic.

    Course highlights:

I gained confidence in my writing abilities and knowledge on how to manage my time wisely with a large amount of things that were required of me. It also helped me gain a global perspective, to think critically and outside of the box.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would take it even if you are hesitant. While no one may readily sign up for challenging event, you are certainly glad you do it in the end. You get out of this class what you put into it. It is worth it to go the extra mile, ask questions, and challenge what is being taught.
