Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Intro to healthcare, essentials of healthcare, and allied health and medicine all taught by Mrs. Dent are extremely informative and useful classes to take for those interested in majoring in the medical field when attending college one day. She puts together hands-on activities to give a feel of what the medical field will be like. I feel very prepared with the knowledge I have gained from all three of her classes and would take them all over again if I had the choice.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to take someone's blood pressure using a manual cuff, medical terminology, how to check someone's temperature, CPR, human anatomy, and numerous other subjects that students tend to start learning in college classes.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study! If I have learned anything it would be how to manage my time effectively and actually aim to learn information instead of just memorize it. You want to carry the things you have learned with you throughout the rest of your high school career and even your life if you are planning to work in the medical field like I am.
