Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

AP Macroeconomics can be considered a dry course for those not interested in the field. However, the textbook is not as dull as many other courses' and I found the material quite readable due to the nature of economics in general. That is to say, because economic theory is all based on rational assumptions and human behavior, the concepts should all seem logical in explanation. Yet, in spite of my recommendation, the class does require some legwork, especially if your teacher has a more hands-off approach to the course.

    Course highlights:

I learned general macroeconomic theories, and I was also prodded to communicate ideas that may otherwise be considered boring in an entertaining fashion.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This is not a blow-off course, and it does require some work if you want to be proficient. That being said, a lot of it comes down to just reading the book and taking the notes that you need to. Most theories stick easily, and the majority of material makes sense especially given some review.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Understanding the economic framework of our country and how it fits into a global scale is crucial to being a well functioning citizen of society.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is that econ forces you to think in various ways. There isn't just one correct answer, and you have to take into account various different factors that could effect each situation.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to work hard and come into class with an open mind. Econ can be a difficult concept to grasp, especially if it is your first time taking it, but it is imperative to your education and one of the most applicable courses you can take during your high school career.
