    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is challenging. It is very difficult, it takes a lot of studying to do well on a test, and the informations seems endless. In the end it was worth it because I now feel more confident in taking challenging courses.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of different things about psychology. You learn things about the founding fathers of psychology, you also learn about the impact of different brain regions on different aspects of psychology, ect. It is really interesting. This course taught me how to channel big picture ideas into real world examples.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I think that you need to make sure that you are willing to put in the work and time for this class. Not only do the reading and notes take a long amount of time, but memorizing the information is very time consuming.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I have always been interested in psychology but had never really taken any classes over it. I have loved learning about why people have the tendencies they do and why we react a certain way. I love learning that there is an explanation for the simple decisions that I make on a daily basis that I never knew about. Personally, I love to know the "why" of everything and AP Psychology has answered that "why" for more aspects of my own life than I ever realized was possible.

    Course highlights:

For me, the highlight so far has been learning about and understanding our subconscious decisions. I really liked learning about how we are able to alter our view of other people and situations even after our subconscious makes judgements for us. I never really knew that I had those kind of thoughts until we did some experiments in class. I've learned that it isn't always easy to consciously change that about myself, but I think it's really cool to be learning this so that I can be more aware of it in future encounters.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I think the most important thing to remember when taking this class is to do the readings and take thorough notes. Especially with the formatting of the class in my school, AP Psychology is only one semester so we have to get through material pretty quickly, which means we don't always discuss everything in class before we're tested over it. My biggest advice would be to make sure you thoroughly do the readings and figure out a way to teach yourself material from the book that you don't go over during class.
