    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course really pays off in the long run. Mrs. Richmond effectively prepared us for the AP exam which allows you to go into your college career with some credits under your belt. It definitely wasn't easy though. She really pushes you on the essays and has you do multiple in class essays but its worth it. That's what prepares you for the exam.

    Course highlights:

From this class I learned how to create a more advanced essay through proper structure and better use of analysis. Above all though I learned to pass the AP Literature exam. The course is really designed to prepare you for the exam although Richmond did make time for book discussions throughout the semester.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to write a lot and to fail a lot of practice tests. The exam is not easy and the practice tests are even harder so if you fail it's okay. We all failed more times then we liked to admit, and it really doesn't affect your final grade.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend AP English Literature and Composition to underclassman as it is a class that prepares you for big essays, papers, tests in college.

    Course highlights:

I studied many types of English literature from lots of plays/tragedies, Shakespeare, to classical literature, Thomas Hardy as well as a multitude of poetry.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to do work outside of class daily or you will not improve!
