Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

One would learn the ins and outs of how to sway your voice; also how to project your voice. One also learns the different types of organization when it comes to presenting and when to use them.

    Course highlights:

Getting up in front of an audience can be tough, but one has to learn how to teach themselves how to control it- you turn it into nervous excitement. One has to just breathe and get it done with, and not let their nerves get the best of them.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice in front of people before your presentations and practice in front of a mirror. Don't get caught up on what the audience thinks about you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It has helped me open up and step out to people. I am bad at talking in front of people as it is, but this is a great course that I would recommend.

    Course highlights:

The course highlights how to organize your speech and how to present it. How to be Ethical, and key points that you should know in and out of the class. The course offers plenty of practice (impromptu and other speeches in front of the class). You will have time to prepare and present.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Put in enough effort to learn and practice your speech. Pay attention to what Dr. Greysen has to say, but it is not all about note-taking. Speak up and respond in class as well.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Greysen makes public speaking so easy. When I started the class I was shy and deathly afraid to speak in front of anyone. She helps everyone loosen up and truly teaches how to speak in front of people.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to loosen up and speak in front of people. I also learned how to use all my senses when I write so that I keep my audiences attention. She teaches you how to use your voice and speak loud enough for people to hear you and at a rate that people understand. She also teaches you to use pauses while speaking.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Please don't be afraid of public speaking. Dr. Greysen is so awesome and I would take this class again if I could.
