    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I had my reservations going into AP Biology, but it was such an interesting course! I learned a lot about the many intricacies of nature and the human body as well, and I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of entering the STEM field in college.

    Course highlights:

Each unit is accompanied with a learning log, a few "lessons" or so where you will use your textbooks to find the answers to each question. These learning logs are a preparation for each day's lessons and are incredibly useful when studying for the tests and AP Exam. A lot of the course was focused on homeostasis and systems, and we did many labs that helped further our understanding of the content.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the work! Make sure you keep up with your learning logs, or else you will be a little lost in class. If you're like me, then being lost in class is no fun, so do your learning logs! Any of the extra articles or resources that Mr. Murnan gives you is important, it will definitely help with future AP exam prep. Don't sweat the tests either. You want to make sure you give your best effort for each and every test, but Murnan always offers test corrections and extra bonus points for doing your learning logs on time that can be applied to your test, so keeping an A in the class is pretty easy so long as you do your work!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is fascinating, and you get a true feel for if you like science. It is rigorous but rewarding.

    Course highlights:

I've learned about how bacteria can communicate, the ins and outs of DNA, and how the human body protects its self.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't go into it thinking you can skirt by because you can't, but there is nothing better than the success you feel when mastering a concept.
