This class was tough.
I'd recommend this class because it really requires you to engage yourself and focus. The class I took for this course was an AP class, so it really required me to step up my game.
After taking this course, I learned many things about our history that I was ignorant to before. You see, when you're growing up, you learn basic thing about history; like Christopher Columbus discovering America, the events of slavery, and the bigger wars America was involved in. Though, once I began this class, I learned there was much more than just that. There was so much going on before America was even a stable country and events that I believed had take place so long ago were actually a reality not long before I was born. I guess, it just really puts things into a different perspective.

Advice for students:
The class I took for this subject was an AP class, so you can imagine it was not a just a walk in the park. Ever since I started school, in any class I've taken, I've been able to pass with an above average grade, so I figured this class would be the same. Of course, I was wrong. If you are going to take this class, you are going to need to be driven and attentive. You should always take notes, read your chapters thoroughly, ask questions if you have questions, complete any resources your teacher offers you, and accept any assistance you can find. This class was a very difficult course for me and in the end, it turned out to be the first C I've ever gotten as a final grade. I've been told that my final grade in that class was justifiable, since it was a very difficult AP class and no one else got higher than a B; but I still feel as though I could have been better because one of my friends did better. He got an A in the class; he got an A because he was doing all of the things I just listed. So, if you are considering taking this class, just know it is going to take a lot of time and dedication, but if you're willing to give it, the results will be worth it.
