Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend AP Biology because it is challenging and valuable. You will learn things that will stick with you forever.

    Course highlights:

The infection unit was most informative, especially with the comics we made. The biggest project was the Phloem model.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you work on the phloem project from when it is assigned to when it is due! It's harder than you think!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class was challenging but highly rewarding, and I felt that it contained important information for my future and for classes the following school year.

    Course highlights:

My favorite chapters were those on human anatomy and genetics, while the entire class all concluded that the best subject was plant biology and anatomy.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a lot and read the actual book, do not slack off, work your butt off and while it may be tough, it will be very rewarding.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although AP Biology has a high workload, the AP credits that are available to each and every student is rewarding. Instead of taking this course with over a hundred other students, where the teaching is not personalized, take it in high-school, a place where help can be given practically everyday. Furthermore, this course gives each student the chance to practice their studying habits at a college-level before college (because of the studying that is required in order to succeed)!

    Course highlights:

Overall, I learned a plethora of different items throughout the year including a lot about plants (and their systems (photosynthesis, reproduction, types, systems, etc.), us as humans (behavior, genetic makeup, reproduction, immune system, etc.), animals (behavior, genetic makeup, etc.), etc. At the end of the year, I would have to say that my favorite topic area to learn about was the immune system of the human. In my opinion, the process that our bodies go through everyday is incredible!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, I advise every student to take every test seriously (study your heart out), try to understand everything that is taught (not understanding one thing leads to not understanding another), read the book (it really helps give an introduction to each thing that is taught in class & it helps with the small chapter quizzes), work with the people around you (studying/understanding material with more people than yourself definitely helps in the end), etc.
