Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would most definitely recommend taking Mr.Garis' calculus. There's nothing more I appreciate than a teacher who genuinely cares for his/her students. Mr.Garis is passionate about the subject and makes the class bright and interesting.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was probably the review days. He would hand out a work sheet that you could work on with a partner the day before a test and if you had questions you just simply went up to his desk and asked and he would thoroughly explain the problems. It was just a nice, laid back day to prep for the test. We learned about derivatives and limits and different aspects of graphs. Difficult for sure but he made the best out of it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard. Show him that you care. That's all you have to do.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course. It was challenging and was highly conceptual; it made me think differently and critically. The course material correlated to science and engineering mathematics and concepts, which is directly applicable to the fields of study I wish to pursue in college.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was learning a high level way to approach problems and think about solving them. Many problems in this course could be solved more than one way and oftentimes required deep thought to solve. I learned how to approach problems in unique ways and how to shake off the robot like approach of solving problems as became habit in algebra courses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go over notes and homework problems before tests. Also be sure to review for final test by using all materials given in the course as a general overview.
