Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was amazing! It covered the basics of psychology really well. If you want to take any other psychology classes during your time at Hope, I recommend that you take this class as soon as possible. Even though psychology isn't my major, I know that the things I learned will still be super beneficial in the future. Plus Dr. Ludwig is great!

    Course highlights:

This class covered a lot of the basic aspects of psychology. We learned all sorts of things from how the nerves in the brain and eyes work to developmental theories to mental health conditions.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book! Not only do you need to read the book to complete the daily module assignments, but doing the readings is also super helpful when it comes to exams. The readings really help solidify the information from the lectures.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is very easy as long as you complete the modules and therefore do the reading. A lot of it was really interesting so completing the reading wasn't hard. Ludwig is also an awesome resource and his lectures are a true supplement for the reading.

    Course highlights:

A high light was definitely when we got to the abnormal psychology portions. I think that topic is so interesting and it was great to learn about it from a professional. I also learned a lot about developmental psychology that I didn't know before, like that the progression of infantile development is pretty universal!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's a great way to take care of your social science requirement and learn applicable information while you're at it. The reading is short and interesting for the most part. But if you don't plan on showing up to class you won't reach your full potential.
