Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's interesting learning about the mind and how it works. Ms. Yackee is a great teacher and it's easy to succeed if you take notes

    Course highlights:

I learned about different parts of the brain, how the mind controls someone, and what makes up things like personality and motivation.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take plenty of notes (in class and at home) and remember information in a cumulative way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is probably the most enlightening classes of Brooks. You wont sit there ever thinking "When will I use this in life.." because this is life. Mrs.Yackee is also the best teacher for this course because of her many real life application to concepts.

    Course highlights:

The best part of the class was Sex Day lol. Yes, it;s exactly what it sounds like but it was very intriguing and interesting to learn how your peers actually perceive sex and everything that comes along with it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

DON'T EVER SLACK WITH YOUR NOTES

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is definitely one of my favorite courses I've taken while I've been here at Brooks. My teacher, Ms. Yackee, is great at explaining the information and making it relatable. Learning about the way people think is very intriguing.

    Course highlights:

From this course, I've learned about multiple aspects of the mind, such as why people think and act the way they do. Whether it's evolutionary or social, many things influence the way we think. I now find myself trying to apply what I've learned when observing others.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, I would recommend that someone make sure they take notes. There can often be many names and terms to remember, so making sure these things are known is crucial. Notes should be taken not only at home, but also during class. Lastly, one should avoid procrastination, because its not hard to fall behind.
