Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Biology and chemistry have always been my favorite subjects. While some students may not agree with that, they can be assured that an "A" is very possible. This course is a requirement for most schools; chances are you'll find yourself looking at an anabaema cell through a compound light microscope. Even if it isn't required, I would still recommend taking this course if you plan to go into any scientifically oriented field.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of this course was learning about the chemical aspect of it. Photosynthesis, cellular respiration, the carbon cycle, fermentation, and concepts of the like were definitely a highlight for me. I like to know how biological things work, and this course gives a great overview of them.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Like any course, your experience will vary on your professor. If the homework assignments are optional, do them anyway. If you have a question about something, raise your hand and ask; don't feel dumb for inquiring. You will reap the grade that you sow in study, so put in what you want out of this course.

    Hours per week:

Make sure to keep up on your studies! Studying is essential in passing this course!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Bartow made the General Biology Lecture interesting. I never felt like he was just reading off of a screen. He offered great explanations and was very accommodating when people asked questions. I felt like I truly learned in his class.

    Course highlights:

This course really taught me the basics of biology and how science works. The layout of the course covered everything from the scientific method to cells.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is not an easy A, it does require hard work and effort. If you enjoy science this is a great class, but if you are just fulfilling a requirement I would suggest an intro course.
