Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As a student who has never felt a heavy pull towards science, I was pleasantly surprised by my dedication to this class. Mrs.Pederson has an incredible talent for grasping the interest of her students and making us desire to put in the work, while still genuinely showing concern for us all, not just in the educational environment, but as human beings.

    Course highlights:

Mrs.Pederson is especially gifted in explained anything related to genetics and cells. However, all of her lessons were thorough, and I always felt genuinely prepared for our exams throughout the course.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

This course requires a lot of in class focus, but is not too demanding outside of school. Self motivation is required, as the class becomes difficult if you choose not to review the lessons on your own outside of class, especially before the AP exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it combines hands on learning with lecture. This makes it possible for all types of learners to succeed. It also does cross curriculum, using math, chemistry, and ecology knowledge.

    Course highlights:

The best parts of the course are the labs where you get to conduct actual studies and experiments. I learned about how people and animals cohabitate and how the cells and dna in our body work. The most time in the course is spent on DNA and how it replicates, and codes for proteins.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be able to stay on top of assignments, because the course is slightly fast paced due to the large scope of materials being covered in just two semesters.
