    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Jezequel is extremely intelligent, as well as bitingly sarcastic. She has too many degrees to count and it shows in her vast knowledge of many scientific specialties. Having a science teacher teach you psychology is very helpful. She knows how to get the information to stick. Very tough class, but definitely worth it.

    Course highlights:

I learned every part of the brain and their functions, the value of perception in shaping our reality, memory tricks for learning material, and all about mental illnesses and how to treat them, just to name a few units. There was a big emphasis on chemicals in the body and neuron functioning, so it really felt more like a science class than a social studies class.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you read the textbook. Reading the chapters is your ticket to an A in this class. Do the vocabulary and take notes, but the textbook will be your best friend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Jezequel's AP Psychology class was a brilliant and eye-opening experience for me. The course includes a lot of interactive experiments. The tests were insanely hard, but I made it out of the class with an A and loved every second of it. I wish I could take it all over again!

    Course highlights:

There are five units in the class. The teacher has some of the best AP test scores in the state, so she's won many grants to buy materials for her classroom. Walking in feels like entering a new world. She respects the students as equals and cares for everyone. However, she holds you to a high standard, and she takes command of the classroom. I learned so much about my own mind and how to interact with others.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to read the textbook, otherwise you're in trouble. She also has you do a vocab book with almost 600 vocab words across the semester - be prepared for a lot of writing. Her tests are 100 questions in 70 minutes, but she does that because that's how it is on the AP test itself.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great teacher, great class! I learned so much about human nature and made my parents take personality tests!

    Course highlights:

I learned about studies that were done in people in situations to show how easily people can do terrible things because they are doing what they are told. Example: holocaust

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read and take notes but the material is so interesting you won't mind!
