Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Environmental science was a course that I was excited to go to every day. It allowed for me to see how humans directly effect the Earth and how I can make a difference in my actions to create a greener planet. Overall, this course pushed me into wanting to pursue a career in marine science.

    Course highlights:

Aside from learning about how humans negatively effect the planet, I was also able to see ways that we can slowly solve the problems created. A major highlight of this course was being able to learn about the different pollution's created from cars, industry, and even the trash we throw out the window. It allowed for me to see how I can change my actions.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Vocabulary is very important throughout the course. The teacher often refers to terms that can be found on the vocab list and new terms expand upon the basics of different units. Any diagrams that the teacher provides for a topic should be copied, these provide visual representations that I often referred to during review.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the curriculum expanded my understanding of the world around me, not just environmental science. I was challenged both morally and academically. The concepts taught in this course made me see the destruction and chaos within our world. However, seeing the disarray inspires solutions and reform to rebuild and reconstruct from the bottom up.

    Course highlights:

Throughout this course I learned three things about the world and about myself. First, change will not occur unless there is passion behind the cause. Words and slogans mean nothing if action does not follow. Second, be mindful and conscious of the world around you. Think of the consequences that surround your actions and who it will impact later on. Lastly, have a light at the end of a tunnel to strive for. Always set your goals in the beginning, with dedication and persistence the end will justify the means.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To future students entering this course my advice would be not to get discouraged early on. Potential, growth, and success stem from failure. I also advise to keep an open mind, new information cannot be obtained if one isn't willing to accept the new knowledge.
