    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it teaches good work ethic and expands your way of thinking through discussion.

    Course highlights:

Class Socratics were the highlight of the course. We were able to reflect on the content of the course and debate over the choices our presidents have made through the years.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Complete all of your assignments on time and well. If not you will easily fall behind and won't be prepared for the AP exam in May.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a vigorous but fulfilling course that prepared you for the APUSH exam.

    Course highlights:

This is a class structured a little different with student conversation being the highlight and little in class note taking or lectures.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Reading the textbook is the most important part of this class. Note taking on the reading and being able to apply it to class discussion is vital.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class gives you the experience of group discussion and prepares you quite well for the APUSH Exam. Mr. Turell guides you through the entire textbook for the class and pushes you to become a better note taker and critical thinker.

    Course highlights:

This class brought United States history into a broader world history context and Mr. Turell emphasizes the Importance of PERSIAN(Politics, Economy, Religion, Social, Intellectual, and geographic) aspects of learning history.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be willing to read for more than an hour each night outside of class because it is such a textbook based course. You also need to be willing to speak in class often as points are awarded for class group discussion.
