Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class is an English elective through the local community college, Mchenry County College. In this course, if completed you obtain 6 college credits for entry level english. The nice thing about taking the class is you get an actual college course, not AP, that prepares an individual for college.

    Course highlights:

The best parts of this course is the fantastic teacher and the advanced knowledge of writing. In this course, I have found my own voice/style and am now a more proficient writer. This is awesome to become better at because I will be writing many papers in college.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you are considering this course, be open to spending alot of time writing essays. This is a class where you will complete an essay every week. If you are not up to writing, pass up this class. However, it is completely doable for anyone who has the personal drive.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's a calm enviorment with a really cool and weird teacher. The movies are great and make you feel every emotion. And you rarely ever have homework, not to mention the final is to make a film. Best. Final. Ever.

    Course highlights:

I leanred that filming takes a long time. It took my group two days and about seven hours to make a fifteen minute film. Also, there's many different techniques in cinimatography that add new levels to film when you learn them. It makes you love movies even more and appriciate them.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it. Between all your core classes and AP exams, this is a nice, easy and fun class to relax and be yourself. You just sit there and watch a movie, all that's missing is popcorn.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the course because it has really helped me become a better writer before I leave to college.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of my course was learning about myself in a project we had to complete about the story, catcher in the rye.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

While doing this course, make sure you stay on the right track, read every night and do not get behind. Another thing I would recommend is doing the essay, and asking your teacher to review it before it is due.
