    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I probably wouldn't recommend this course because it is hard to understand and hard to retain the information until the AP exam in the spring.

    Course highlights:

I learned...I learned...uhhh... test corrections and the square root curve are the best things ever!?

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

MAKE SURE YOU ARE GOOD AT MATH!!! The AP exam is all concept questions (I think I used my calculator on one question), but the work for the class is almost all math. ***If possible take AP Calculus BEFORE physics!! I am taking AP Calc now and I realize how much easier physics would have been with calculus knowledge.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Lanave’s general level physics class is fun but also challenging. I discovered many interesting things about our world and how much physics really is involved in everyday life. There are packets due before every test, do those packets. They will not only help you to better understand the lesson but she also takes them up and sometimes offers extra credit for students who took time to complete the packet. It is important to ask for help in this class and not wait for the teacher to come to you. She is always willing to help by speaking to you privately or holding after school tutoring. Another highlight of the class was that group work was often the main teaching method. Hearing a brief lesson and then being allowed to work together to solve the problems and truly learn what you were doing helped tremendously when it came to test time.

    Course highlights:

Mrs. Lanave’s general level physics class is fun but also challenging. I discovered many interesting things about our world and how much physics really is involved in everyday life. There were always labs that we could do. These labs were not boring and simple, they were elaborate and creative. My favorite lab was one that involved candles and convex and concave mirrors. In the beginning I did not think I would learn much from this class. Once I became an advocate for myself and really applied myself I learned that even when you're stopping, you're technically accelerating. A crazy concept that I will always think about because of this awesome class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend that students taking this course go in with a positive attitude. I didn't think I would enjoy learning about how and why things move but it is so much more. This class shows you how life works. Be involved in the class discussions and ask questions. Create a group message with your peers and work together to study and encourage one another. Engage yourself in learning and try to have the best attitude you can about the class and I promise it will seem easier.
