Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Teichman is an amazing instructor and found a way to get everything covered that was traditionally covered in 16 weeks in one summer semester. This cut her timing in half. She used to do therapy, so she would share many examples with us about how the information that she covered relates to her own experiences.

    Course highlights:

I liked the fact that we started the course by learning basic anatomy of the brain and then related different psychological functions back to those areas of the brain.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take the coursework lightly for the introductory chapters, because those topics are built on.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She is an amazing teacher and her weekly quizzes help you understand the readings better. She helps by providing you with the tools you need to help yourself succeed.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course had to be learning about different mental disorders. Having a mental illness is one thing, but learning about the overall effects that it could have on a person is so much more. Becoming more knowledgable about these topics can help with undertanding and dealing with people in everyday life circumstances.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the material. Take your own notes and go over the guided notes provided. Take your time completing the quizzes because they are very important.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is an imperative class to take for all students no matter what major they are pursuing. Psychology is the rationale of the human brain, something that all humans should at least attempt to understand. This course leads to increased understanding of one's self and why they have the personality that they do and how their parents effected who they are.

    Course highlights:

A very interesting course that allows students to look inside the human mind. Things we've always wondered such as why we think things that we do and even how our eyes process images are included in these chapters. This course explains mental illness and brings awareness to the struggle that those with the illness have.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It help to relate things that you read and learn to your own life and past experiences. Drawing connections between the chapter content and real memories that you have gurantees that you will have a better chance of remembering not only for exam day but into the rest of your life as well.
