    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you learn a lot of information in this course and also you do different dissections including one of round worm and also a fetal pig.

    Course highlights:

In this course you learn about a ton of things. To start off you learn the phylum, class and order of many different animals such a jellyfish, worms, insects, clams, oysters, mammals, etc. From there you go into anatomy and learn about the circulatory, endocrine, nervous systems. After animals you learn everything there is to know about plants, their life cycles the difference between seed plants and flowering plants. the last thing you'll learn in this course ecology population, community and ecosystem.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If your going to take this course its fairly difficult meaning you have to put in the time outside of class if you want to pass. The test are long and hard so you have to study a lot. You really have to pay attention during lecture notes and should print out the notes and follow along and jot down notes rather than hand writing while the professor talks.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Rosemire is a very passionate teacher. He knows the course material very well as works with you to make sure you understand it as well. The course is very in-depth so you HAVE to spend time studying, but Dr. R will be there to answer any questions you have. He also teaches with a lot of humor which makes the class go by easier.

    Course highlights:

You learn a lot about the different classifications of animals and a little bit about plant classification as well. With classification you learn about the evolution of today's animals.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You really have to study. Like most science classes the grades are weighted and tests and quizzes are very important to your grade. You have a quiz every week, which are very helpful in studying for the final. He gives you a master study guide at the beginning of the semester which is incredibly helpful. It takes a long time to complete and you will need to go through his power points on your own to make sure you have all the information you feel you need, but if you use the study guide you will be more prepared for the tests. He has two lab practicals as well which you REALLY need to study the labs for. Some of the information is in the chapter slides but not enough for you to get all that fantastic of a grade.
