Pretty easy, overall.
Course Overview:
I would recommend any math class really, because that's my favorite subject.
Course highlights:
Imaginary numbers, factoring, some statistics (in an algebra 2 course), graphing certain functions (ex: circle, ellipses etc.), pert formula, logarithms, absolute value functions, etc.
Hours per week:
0-2 hours
Advice for students:
Pay attention in class, listen to the teacher, ask questions, do your homework (helps for test), study (if you need to).
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would recommend it because this is not only a class you have to take to graduate from high school but the class in general is very hands on. Basically, you can sit back and relax, expecting to get an A in the class. There is usually a sum of 10 homework assignments that are collected for 1 grade. There is plenty of time of time to study for quizzes and tests ahead of time.
Course highlights:
To be honest I haven't learned much. Not because of the teacher but for the lack of drive to do anything in this class. But I have learned how to be more independent in terms of work. Not only that but working with people during presentations at times can be difficult but were very satisfying at the end.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Don't slack behind because it will eventually catch up to you. Always walk into class prepared with you homework so that you can understand what is being explained in class. Never find yourself being lost in class because more times than not you will be called on to answer a question on the board.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course because it covers a wide range of Algebra that you will need. It goes more in depth than just basic algebra and it will help you tremendously if you plan on taking pre-calculus.
Course highlights:
We learned functions and their relationships, polynomials, graphs, logarithms, arithmetic, some geometry and some trigonometry.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
you should practice as much as you can because some of the information can be hard to grasp or remember. Also, if you are having trouble on something make sure to find someone that can help you or spend extra time going over it yourself.
