Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course to those who enjoy biology immensely because the class went deeply into the information on plants, animals, and humans and how the cells and chemicals in the organisms worked. I must say the course was very intense and to get a good grade you must work very hard and study very often.

    Course highlights:

During this course, there was lab work. I learned a lot on how to use different lab equipment and how dong labs in college was so different from doing them in high school. I never thought I'd be able to use a centrifuge before actually being enrolled in college! The labs in this course were so much fun and now I have a better understanding on how labs work.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of your homework!! Do not wait until the last minute to do any of your homework or home labs. To be more prepared and caught up, you need to read your textbook every night. Please pay attention to your syllabus and test dates.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was one of the very first college courses I took. The professor is not only clear and concise but his exams are very straight forward. This class gave an enormous amount of information that will provide you with the foundational knowledge in biology to help prepare you for your future biology courses.

    Course highlights:

Professor Redenti is knowledgeable and very personable. He gives you an immense volume of information but that is what a college level biology class requires. I learn a lot genetics, mitosis, meiosis etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give student is to not put off studying to later but instead study right away the information you are given each day. It is also important to have flash card to help you memorize important terms and vocabulary. I would also suggest to read the text book first before going ahead and studying the power points that the professor gives.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It was a great course, although very fast paced as I took it during the summer in 5 weeks, when the class is usually administered during a 15 week period.

    Course highlights:

You learn basic biology and all about the human body

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The course is usually required for anyone going into the medical field so I would just recommend doing the work an making sure you pass, or else the rest of your college experience will be filled with trying to catch up.
