Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher helps out with any questions that you have. She provides powerpoints, but make sure you're in class to fill out the blanks that she has on the powerpoints. I like this course because the teacher was able to give us extra credit if we did the homework she posted online after taking a test.

    Course highlights:

I learned about different microorganisms, how they move, function, their purpose, and even what they look like through a microscope. I thought it was interesting learning the history about how these microorganisms were discovered. One instance, I learned that one microorganism was discovered by accident by a gentleman leaving his agar plate on his desk overnight.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of your readings. Attend class to fill in the blanks of the powerpoints. Don't be afraid to ask questions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I really like Mrs. Walcott. Although there is an abundance of information to be learned, her enthusiasm for the course material helps keep it interesting.

    Course highlights:

Microbiology is all about micro organism and how we get to learn about the features and functions. Mostly, we learned that organisms are broken down between to types of cells, prokaryotic and eukaryotic. We also dove into a further break down into the difference between the two and the types of bacterias and viruses that fall under each group.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you have a chance, try to do some reading on microbiology before taking this class. This will allow you to follow along and learn the material better. Also, search for and watch online videos so you can get visual of the course material.
